Years ago, in a small village nestled between towering mountains, lived a woman named Miriam. She was known for her vibrant garden, filled with the most colorful, fragrant flowers. Yet, what many didn’t see was the struggle behind that beauty. Each spring, Miriam would gather the townsfolk to help her plant seeds, but every winter brought the threat of harsh frost that could wipe out her hard work overnight.

Many urged her to give up, to abandon the dream of those blooms. “Why keep trying when it seems futile?” they asked. But Miriam, holding onto the promise from Joshua 1:9—“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”—decided to persist.
