Children of God Bearing Truthful Testimony in All Life
Isaiah 63:8 declares that Yahweh's people are "children that will not lie." This covenant promise reveals the practical power of renewed nature in every sphere of Christian life. A believer exemplifying truth becomes a phenomenon—a miracle of grace—that the world observes with wonder.
The people of God must render habitual, profound homage to truth. First, they estimate truth at its proper value. Divine truth—the truth as it is in Jesus—surpasses all earthly treasure. Diligent search is required: "Search the Scriptures. Prove all things." Yet investigation alone cannot secure conviction. No one comes to the light until he acknowledges darkness; no one finds truth until recognizing his desperate need for Christ's teaching. "All Thy children shall be taught of the Lord."
Second, truth must be preserved not merely in letter but in spirit and power. Christ warned: "If the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!" The Gospel itself becomes destructive when held in unrighteousness.
Third, God's children bear distinct, consistent testimony. What we feel deeply we shall speak freely—as the apostle declared, "We believe, and therefore speak."
