Christ's Kingdom Transforming Every Sphere of Human Life
The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ.—Revelation 11:15
This proclamation transcends missionary effort alone. Many professing Christians require conversion; many churches require Christianization. Life's progress on our planet has moved from animal brutality toward intellectual, moral, and spiritual dominion—from mere brute force to the rule of thought and reason.
In ancient epochs, physical mass determined supremacy. The so-called "antediluvian" monsters wielded terrible power. Yet as creation advanced, mere bigness diminished in consequence while intellect ascended. Those who influence the mind are creation's true monarchs. Christ's supreme triumphs shall occur precisely here—possessing and reshaping the world's consciousness, which shall then govern all else.
Strong beliefs forge strong men and strengthen them further. The masculine yet humane morality of Jesus Christ increasingly commends itself to society's thinking and influential strata. Superior ideas displace inferior ones. Many institutions have served their generation faithfully but now age toward decay before nobler ideals.
We must not disparage the old simply because the new arrives. Present animal forms far surpass tertiary rock remains, yet could not exist without their predecessors. Similarly, those very systems Christ's law shall supplant have advanced human progress substantially.
When the Apocalyptic vision of the New Jerusalem—the Christian state, the city of God—achieves complete establishment upon earth, it shall manifest fuller embodiment of Christ's law throughout every human relationship. The kingdom of Art shall become His kingdom; the grandest Christian-era buildings and paintings testify to Christian imagination's supremacy. Certainly the sublimest music owns this divine inspiration.
