Clear the Cache

Every web browser keeps a cache — a hidden record of everywhere you've been online. Every search, every click, every late-night rabbit hole gets stored. Over time, that cache grows heavy. Your browser slows down. Pages load incorrectly because they're pulling from outdated files instead of loading fresh. The past literally interferes with the present.

Tech support's most famous advice? "Clear your cache."

When you do, something remarkable happens. Pages load crisp and fast. The browser stops dragging yesterday's data into today. You get a fresh start — not because the internet changed, but because you stopped carrying the weight of everywhere you'd already been.

Paul understood this long before browsers existed. "If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here" (2 Corinthians 5:17). The Gospel is God's invitation to clear the cache — to stop letting old guilt, old shame, and old patterns of thinking slow down the life He designed you to live.

The beauty of grace is that God doesn't just hide our history. He genuinely frees us from its grip. The cached failures, the stored-up regrets, the outdated version of ourselves that keeps loading when we try to move forward — Christ clears it all.

And unlike your laptop, which starts accumulating cache again the moment you reopen Chrome, the freedom Christ offers is permanent. "So if the Son sets you free," Jesus said, "you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).

You don't have to keep running on yesterday's data. The Almighty has already pressed "clear."
