Daily Climate Change & Stewardship
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause today to reflect on the pressing issue of Climate Change and our call to stewardship, I am drawn to the powerful words of Jesus in Matthew 25:31-46. In this passage, we encounter the profound truth that how we treat the "least of these" reflects our relationship with You. It’s a stirring reminder that our actions—caring for creation and our neighbors—are woven into the very fabric of our faith.
Picture a young mother in a small village, her child in her arms, gazing out at a parched landscape. The once lush fields are now cracked and dry, the rivers that nourished life now reduced to shallow streams. She worries about the future, not just for her child but for all of us. In these moments, we are called to be more than passive observers; we are to be the light in this darkness, the hands and feet of Christ.
Lord, grant us the vision to see the world through Your eyes. Help us to recognize that our choices—what we consume, how we recycle, the energy we use—are acts of worship and love for You and for our neighbors. May our hearts break for the suffering creation and for those affected by its degradation.
