Daily Economic Inequality & Generosity
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause to consider the weighty issue of Economic Inequality and the call to Generosity, I turn my heart toward the wisdom found in Proverbs 31:8-9. It speaks to the urgency of voicing the needs of those who cannot speak for themselves, to defend the rights of the poor and needy.
Imagine walking through our city streets, where the contrast between wealth and poverty is stark—gleaming skyscrapers casting shadows over weathered faces and worn-out shoes. The ache of unmet needs tugs at our hearts, and I wonder, how often do we look away, too busy with our lives to notice the suffering around us?
Lord, open my eyes to see the world as You see it—rich with potential, yet fraught with struggle. Teach me to be a beacon of Your love, bringing light to those who find themselves lost in the shadows of economic despair. Let my hands be instruments of healing, whether through a simple act of kindness or a significant gesture of generosity.
