Daily Eschatology
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I sit quietly with the echo of Revelation 21:4 in my heart, I am struck by the stark beauty of Your promise: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes." In a world heavy with sorrow, where the news cycles are filled with heartache and the burdens of everyday life weigh us down, I long to see the world through Your eyes. I think of my neighbor, Mrs. Thompson, who has lost her husband this past year—her home now feels like a mausoleum of memories. Lord, grant me the wisdom to bring her the hope of Your coming kingdom, where death and mourning will no longer exist.
Help me to be a beacon of light in the shadows of despair. When darkness overwhelms, may my presence radiate a sense of hope, reflecting Your hesed—Your steadfast love. Whether it's through a simple visit with a plate of cookies or an unexpected phone call, let my actions draw others closer to You.
Guide me, Lord, to see my daily interactions as opportunities for tikkun olam, the repair of the world. I want my life to be transformed by the joy and love I find in You, so that I might serve others in ways that point them toward Your eternal promise.
