Daily Hatred - Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today, I find myself grappling with the weight of hatred that sometimes seeps into the corners of my heart—an unwelcome guest that threatens to overshadow the light you’ve placed within me. In those moments, I cling tightly to your promise in Romans 8:28, where you remind us that "in all things, God works for the good of those who love him." This truth compels me to see hatred not as a dead end, but as a crossroads where your grace can flourish.

Help me, Lord, to approach the bitterness that surfaces in my life with renewed eyes—eyes that recognize the pain behind the anger, the fear behind the hostility. May I respond with the kind of love that you exemplified through Christ: a love that reaches across divides, that holds out a hand to the very ones who would push me away.

Guide me to be a beacon of hope in a world too often shrouded in darkness. When I encounter hatred—whether it’s in a harsh word spoken in anger, a social media post dripping with disdain, or the quiet resentment that festers between neighbors—may my actions reflect your character.
