Daily Hatred - Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause today, I cannot help but confront the shadow that hatred casts over our lives. In Galatians 5:22-23, we are reminded that your Spirit produces fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Yet, in a world so easily ensnared by animosity, how often do we find ourselves succumbing to the very hatred we despise?
Lord, grant me the wisdom to see hatred not just as an external force, but as an internal struggle. Help me to encounter those moments where resentment creeps in—whether it’s a sharp word spoken in anger or the bitterness that surfaces in my heart toward someone who has wronged me. May I respond, not with the poison of hatred, but with the antidote of your love.
Imagine, Lord, transforming my heart into a beacon of your grace. When I am met with hostility, may I choose kindness instead of retaliation, echoing the softness of hesed—your steadfast mercy. In the face of darkness, let me be a light that brings hope and healing, just as your Son did with every broken soul he encountered.
