Daily Lent - Story
As I sit in quiet reflection during this season of Lent, I’m drawn to the profound truth of Colossians 1:15-20, where Paul paints a breathtaking portrait of Christ—the image of the invisible God, the one through whom all things were created. What does that mean for us as we navigate our lives in a world that often feels dark and fractured?
Imagine walking through a crowded marketplace, the noise of distraction and despair enveloping you. It’s easy to feel lost in the chaos. Yet, as we embrace this Lenten season, we are called to be beacons of hope. Think of a candle flickering bravely in a dimly lit room, casting warmth and light in every shadowed corner. This is our calling—to reflect the love and grace of Jesus in tangible ways.
Lent invites us to examine our hearts, to ask God to reveal those areas cloaked in darkness, perhaps our unforgiveness, our doubts, or our apathy. Picture a gardener, tenderly pruning away dead branches to nurture new growth. In this moment, let us open our hearts to the Master Gardener, asking Him to cultivate in us a spirit that seeks healing and transformation—not just for ourselves, but for our community.
May our actions become an extension of His character as we reach out to those around us, offering a listening ear, a helping hand, or a simple word of encouragement. In doing so, we create ripples of hope that draw others closer to the heart of God.
