Daily Reflection: Faith - Prayer

Picture a young child standing at the edge of a swimming pool, hesitant to jump in. The water looks big and daunting, yet the child's father stands just a few feet away, arms outstretched and a warm smile on his face. "Trust me," he says, his voice steady and full of love. The child, heart racing, musters all the courage they can, takes a breath, and leaps into the water, only to find their father right there, catching them in a strong embrace.

This scene beautifully mirrors our relationship with God as we navigate the waters of faith. In 2 Timothy 1:7, Paul reminds us, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” Just as that child trusts their father, we are called to leap into the depths of our faith, trusting that God is ready to catch us with His unwavering love.

Each day presents us with opportunities to step out in faith, whether it’s in the silence of our morning prayers or in the decisions that require courage. Humility is key here; it acknowledges our limitations and invites God’s strength to flow through our weaknesses.
