Dear Heavenly Father,

As I pause to reflect on the earth you've entrusted to us, I am drawn to the profound wisdom of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37. In this parable, we find a compelling model of love in action. Picture the Samaritan, a man who sees a wounded stranger by the roadside. While others pass by, he kneels down, tending to the man's wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and ultimately carrying him to safety. This story isn’t merely about helping our neighbor; it’s a profound call to engage with our world, especially in matters of sustainability and creation care.

Lord, open my eyes to the beauty of your creation all around me. Help me to recognize the silent cries of our environment, the aching for healing and restoration, much like the wounded traveler. I pray for the sensitivity to see trash as more than just litter, but a testament to our collective neglect. May I be inspired by the Samaritan's compassion to take action, whether it’s by reducing my waste, supporting local farmers, or advocating for policies that protect our planet.

Let my stewardship of creation reflect your character—one of grace, care, and boundless love.
