Devotional: Easter
Dear Heavenly Father,
As we stand at the threshold of Easter, a season bursting with resurrection hope, I find myself drawn to the wisdom of Ephesians 6:10-18. There, Paul calls us to don the full armor of God, reminding us that our battles are not against flesh and blood but against the very powers of darkness that cling so tightly to our world.
In this moment, I invite you to envision a darkened room—the shadowy corners filled with despair, doubt, and fear. Yet, as we step into this space, we bring the light of Christ with us. Each piece of armor we wear—the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace—equips us not just for our own struggles but for the world around us. The hope of Easter invites us to be beacons of light, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, to pierce through the darkness where so many still wander lost.
As you reflect on how Easter unfolds in your life, consider the ways God is calling you to be an agent of hope and healing. Perhaps it’s a simple act of kindness—a phone call to a friend who is feeling isolated, a shared meal with someone who is struggling, or even a smile offered to a stranger. These small gestures, rooted in the love Christ has shown us, have the power to draw others closer to Him.
