Devotional: Evangelism
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I sit in the quiet of this moment, I am drawn to the profound wisdom of Proverbs 31:8-9, where we are called to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” I think of the faces that I encounter daily—my neighbors, the barista who serves my morning coffee, the single mother struggling to make ends meet. Each of these individuals carries their own burdens, and I hear Your call to embody Your love and grace in their lives.
Lord, may I become a light in the shadows that often cloak our world. Help me to recognize the opportunities to share hope and healing as I move through my day. Just as Your Son, Jesus, reached out to the marginalized and the broken-hearted, let my actions reflect that same heart of compassion. Perhaps it’s a kind word to a weary soul, or a listening ear to a friend in distress—small acts that become vessels of Your love in a world yearning for connection.
In my journey of faith, remind me that evangelism is not merely a task, but a sacred relationship. It's about inviting others into the transformative experience of knowing You. Today, I ask for Your guidance to reflect Your character in all I do. Let my life be a testimony that draws others closer to Your heart.
