Devotional: Sacrament
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I sit in quiet reflection today, I'm drawn to the profound promise of Revelation 3:20, where you invite us to open the door to our hearts. Picture this: a worn door, splintered and faded, standing ajar in a dimly lit room. You stand on the other side, gentle and persistent, longing to enter, to share a meal, to commune with us. This is the essence of Sacrament—the sacred moment when your grace meets our brokenness, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
In my life, I often find myself wrestling with areas where I feel unworthy or unsure. Yet, your invitation remains—beckoning me to welcome you into those very spaces. It’s in these moments of vulnerability that your light shines the brightest. I am reminded of a friend who, in the midst of her struggles, decided to serve meals at a local shelter. In doing so, she found not just a purpose but a powerful reminder of your love, bringing hope to those who felt unseen. This is the essence of engaging with Sacrament: not merely for our own growth, but to become vessels of your love and grace in a world yearning for healing.
Today, I encourage you to think about the doors in your own heart. Where is God inviting you to invite Him in? As we reflect on Sacrament, may our lives reflect your character—illuminating darkness, offering hope, and drawing others closer to your embrace. May we be transformed, so that through us, the world may experience the depth of your love.
