Evening Prayer: AI & Human Dignity
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause in the stillness of this evening, I am drawn to the profound truth of Galatians 3:28, where we are reminded that in Christ, there is no distinction—no divisions of race, status, or gender—only the beautiful tapestry of humanity, each thread woven with purpose and love. In a world increasingly shaped by the cold logic of artificial intelligence, I pray for Your guidance to see through Your eyes, to recognize the sacred dignity in every individual, regardless of how technology may attempt to categorize or define them.
Help me to become a beacon of hope in this digital age, a vessel of Your compassion. Perhaps it’s in the workplace where I see colleagues reduced to mere data points, or in online spaces where anonymity breeds hostility. May I engage with empathy, reminding others that beyond the screens and algorithms, we are all beloved creations, deserving of respect and care.
Let my words and actions reflect Your character and the hesed (loving-kindness) You have shown me. May they inspire others to recognize their own worth and that of those around them. Remind me that even in discussions about AI, human dignity must be at the forefront of our conversations; it must guide our innovations, ensuring that technology serves us, not enslaves us.
