Evening Prayer: Diversity & Inclusion

Dear Heavenly Father,

As I pause to reflect on the beauty of Diversity and Inclusion in my life, I am drawn to the profound wisdom of Isaiah 58:6-7. You call us not just to see others, but to truly know them, to understand their struggles and joys. Lord, help me to look at my neighbors through your compassionate eyes — eyes that see the rich tapestry of humanity, woven together in each unique thread of experience and culture.

Imagine, for a moment, a community where every voice is valued, where the laughter of children playing together transcends barriers, and where the elderly share their stories, knitting together the fabric of history and hope. This is the vision you have for us, Lord, a community that doesn't merely tolerate differences, but actively embraces them as a reflection of your magnificent creation.

Guide me to be a beacon of light in moments of darkness, whether it is standing up for someone marginalized, welcoming the newcomer who feels lost, or simply sharing a meal with someone whose experiences are vastly different from my own.
