Evening Prayer: Goodness
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause to reflect on Your goodness today, I can’t help but think of 1 Timothy 6:10, where Paul warns us that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. In a world where so many chase after wealth, it’s easy to lose sight of the richness that comes from living in Your grace.
Help me, Lord, to view my life through Your eyes. Show me where I’ve allowed the distractions of this world to overshadow the Goodness You offer. May I respond with the same love and grace that You’ve poured into my heart.
Think for a moment about how we can be lights in the darkness. Remember the last time you encountered someone in need—a friend whose spirit was weary, a stranger who had lost hope. In those moments, we have a divine opportunity to reflect Your character and embody hesed, that steadfast lovingkindness that transforms not just our hearts, but the world around us.
