Evening Prayer: Healthcare & Healing Ministry
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause to reflect on the profound significance of Healthcare & Healing Ministry in my life today, I am drawn to the timeless wisdom found in Luke 10:25-37, the parable of the Good Samaritan. In this story, we encounter a man beaten and left for dead on the side of the road, a vivid depiction of human suffering. In the midst of indifference, the Samaritan sees the wounded man through your compassionate eyes. He doesn’t just feel empathy; he rolls up his sleeves and gets to work, pouring out oil and wine, binding wounds, and ensuring the man is cared for.
Lord, help me to adopt this same perspective, especially in the context of healthcare and healing. May I not merely walk by those who are suffering, but instead, be moved to action. Give me the courage to step into the uncomfortable spaces where pain resides, whether that be in a hospital room, a clinic, or even within the walls of my own community.
Let my hands be instruments of your healing and my words be whispers of hope. May I offer not just medical assistance, but a listening ear, a warm embrace, and the grace to reflect your character.
