Evening Prayer: Life
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause in this moment of reflection, I find myself standing at the crossroads of my life, much like the vivid imagery painted in Proverbs 3:5-6, where we are reminded to trust in You wholeheartedly and lean not on our own understanding. There are areas in my life that feel clouded, decisions that seem daunting, and the weight of uncertainty presses heavily on my shoulders.
Help me to step back and see these challenges through Your gracious eyes, recognizing that they are not merely obstacles, but opportunities for Your wisdom to shine through. Guide my heart to respond with the same agape love that You have shown me—love that is not conditional, but transformative. Let it spill out of me like a river, flowing into the lives of those around me, illuminating the shadows of despair.
In those moments when I encounter someone who feels lost or broken, help me to be Your light, a beacon of hope. Perhaps it’s a friend battling loneliness or a neighbor struggling with fear. Instead of merely offering words of comfort, may my actions reflect Your character, drawing others closer to the warmth of Your embrace.
