Evening Prayer: Money
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause in the stillness of this evening, I am reminded of the profound truths nestled within Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, where the seasons of life are laid bare before us. There is a time for everything, even a time for considering the role money plays in my life. Help me to see this often-contentious area through Your eyes—eyes that see beyond mere currency to the heart of generosity, stewardship, and purpose.
Lord, I think of the story of a single mother I met recently. Struggling to make ends meet, she decided to set aside a small portion of her meager income each week for a local food pantry. That small act of faith transformed her perspective on money. Instead of seeing it as a source of stress, she began to view it as a tool for blessing others. In that act of giving, she found not just relief from her worries but a deeper connection to Your love and grace. Help me, too, to be a beacon of hope in the often-dark world of financial strain. May my actions reflect Your character, and may my hands be instruments of healing.
In this evening stillness, I pray for Your guidance on how to engage with money in a way that honors You and serves the community around me. Remind me that my spiritual growth is intricately tied to my willingness to share what I have, turning my own transformation into a catalyst for transformation in others.
