Finding Incarnation in Everyday Moments

In our modern world, the concept of Incarnation often feels both daunting and deeply intimate. It’s a reckoning with how to bring the sacred into our everyday lives amid the noise and chaos. Think back to the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10, a story that captures the essence of Incarnation profoundly.

Imagine a bustling city street—horns blaring, people rushing, each one lost in their own world of stress and distraction. One man, dressed in worn jeans and a tattered jacket, lies injured on the side of the road. He’s invisible, a mere shadow among the bright lights. But then, a woman walks by, her heart stirred by empathy. She stops, kneels beside him, and offers not just medical help but a warm smile and a listening ear. In that moment, she embodies agape, selfless love, breaking through the barriers of indifference.
