God's Judgment Upon Deceivers and Their Cunning
Hearken to the tramp of God's armies advancing through nature, providence, and the angelic hosts of the last day. Their march is inexorable and certain. Yet we must consider the mangled victims left in their wake—those who trafficked in cunning and deception, proving specially obnoxious to the Almighty.
History furnishes terrible examples. Balaam, who knew God's truth yet sold his gifts for silver, fell beneath divine judgment. Pharaoh, who hardened his heart through calculated defiance, saw his armies swallowed by the sea. Rome, that great deceiver of nations, crumbled into dust. And Satan himself, the deceiver of all nations, awaits his final condemnation at Golgotha's victor's hand.
What warnings echo from this Aceldama—this field of blood—for our own souls? First, repent of every subtle deception harbored within. Second, avoid the serpent's craft; let honesty mark your dealings. Third, mind God's landmarks—those ancient truths He has established. Do not remove them for contemporary convenience. Finally, and most crucially, hide yourself in Christ. When the Almighty's judgment sweeps across the earth, only those sheltered in His righteousness shall stand. The deceiver's fate need not be yours. Seek refuge in the One who is Truth incarnate aletheia, and judgment shall pass over you.
