Joseph's Long View - Reformed (Romans 8:28)
Joseph spent years in a pit, in slavery, in prison—each time because of others' evil choices. His brothers' jealousy, Potiphar's wife's lies, the cupbearer's forgetfulness. Yet at the end, he could say to his brothers: "You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good." Not just "used" it—MEANT it. God was sovereign over every twist, weaving evil choices into redemptive purposes. Romans 8:28 rests on divine sovereignty. Nothing is wasted; nothing is random. The God who works all things is the God who controls all things. That's why we can trust even what we can't understand.
