Lessons from Gentleness - Story
There once was a mother, Sarah, who had a young son named David. David was a lively child, full of energy and curiosity, often finding himself in trouble as he explored the world around him. One day, he climbed too high in a tree, and when he realized he couldn’t get down, panic set in. From the ground, Sarah looked up, her heart racing. She called to him softly, “Stay calm, David. I’m right here. Just take your time and climb down gently.”
As David hesitated, the fear of falling gripped him. But Sarah’s gentle voice wrapped around him like a warm blanket. She didn't shout or demand that he come down immediately. Instead, she reminded him that she believed in his strength and ability to navigate this moment. Slowly, with each careful step, he made his way down, guided by her calm presence.
When David finally reached the ground, he collapsed into her arms, tears streaming down his cheeks. “I was so scared, Mom,” he said.
Sarah held him tight and whispered, “I know, sweetheart. But remember, every time you face a challenge, you’re not alone. God has plans for you—plans for hope and a future, just like it says in Jeremiah 29:11.”
