Lessons from Love - Biblical Analogy
There’s a story of a young girl named Lily who loved to explore the woods behind her home. With every adventure, she wandered farther from her mother's watchful eye, each step filled with curiosity. One day, as she ventured deeper, the path became unclear, and darkness began to creep in. Fear settled in her heart, and she felt utterly lost.
In that moment, she remembered the words her mother often spoke: “Stay close, my love, and you will always know the way.” With that in mind, Lily called out for her mother. Almost immediately, her mother appeared, arms wide open, ready to embrace her. The warmth of that love provided clarity and courage. Hand in hand, they retraced Lily's steps, and soon the familiar sights of home came into view.
Psalm 23 paints a similar picture of our relationship with God. "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want." Like Lily, we are sometimes tempted to wander far from the path meant for us. Yet, God’s love calls us back. He offers guidance and purpose, reminding us that in obedience to Him, we find true joy and fulfillment.
As we grow spiritually, may we lean into that love and allow it to lead us. When we seek His presence, our fears dissipate, and we see the beauty of His plan unfold. The journey may be winding, but with our Shepherd beside us, we can confidently take each step, knowing we are never truly lost.
