Morning Meditation: Advent - Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
As we step into this sacred season of Advent, I find myself drawn to the timeless wisdom of Galatians 5:22-23, where Paul paints a picture of the fruits of Your Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These aren’t just lofty ideals; they are the very essence of who You are and how You invite us to live.
Lord, help me to see my life through Your eyes. Show me the corners of my heart where darkness lingers and where I have forgotten to shine Your light. Remind me of the hurting souls I encounter daily—perhaps the weary cashier forced to wear a smile despite her exhaustion, or the neighbor struggling to find hope in the face of loss. In these moments, allow me to respond not just with kind words, but with acts of love that reveal Your grace.
In this season of anticipation, may my actions reflect Your character, transforming mundane interactions into divine encounters. Let me bring hope where there is despair, healing where there is brokenness. Guide me to be a beacon of light, radiating Your love into the shadows that cling to our world.
