Morning Meditation: Angels
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I sit in quiet contemplation this morning, I am drawn to the words of Proverbs 31:8-9, which call us to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves and to defend the rights of the needy. In this moment, I feel Your wisdom penetrating my heart, urging me to look around and recognize the mal'akhim—the angels—You have placed in my life. These angels may not wear wings or glow with heavenly light; they are often found in the faces of those who serve, care, and love in our midst.
I think of the barista at my local café, who greets me each morning with a warm smile, sensing the weight of my weariness and offering a word of encouragement. Or the neighbor who drops off a meal when life feels overwhelming, embodying the very hands and feet of Christ. These are the moments when Your grace shines through—when we become conduits of hope and healing in a world starved for both.
Lord, guide me today to be a light in the darkness, reflecting Your character in my interactions. Help me to be alert to those divine appointments, those extraordinary encounters with the ordinary, where I can serve others as You serve me. May my actions draw others closer to You, igniting in them the same hope and love that You have so abundantly poured into my life.
