Morning Meditation: Climate Change & Stewardship - Story
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I stand in the quiet of this morning, sipping my coffee and gazing out at the world around me, I can’t help but feel the weight of our planet’s cry. The trees sway gently in the breeze, yet beneath their beauty lies a profound struggle—a struggle that echoes the wisdom of Proverbs 3:5-6, where we are called to trust in You with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding.
In this season of uncertainty regarding climate change, I ask for Your guidance. Help me to see this not just as a distant issue but as a personal calling to steward Your creation. Just as my grandmother lovingly tended her garden, nurturing each sprout and flower with care, so I too am called to cultivate hope and healing in my community.
I want to be a beacon of light, radiating Your grace in the face of adversity. Perhaps that means joining a local cleanup, advocating for sustainable practices in my workplace, or even simply sharing a meal with neighbors to discuss how we can work together toward a healthier planet. In these small, deliberate acts, I can reflect Your character, drawing others closer to You and Your heart for creation.
