Morning Meditation: Environmental Justice - Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause to meditate on the profound truth of Environmental Justice, I am struck by the vivid images in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 that beautifully encapsulate Your heart for creation. Love is patient; love is kind—not just in our relationships with one another but also in how we engage with the world around us. You invite us to see the earth not as a disposable resource, but as a beloved creation, a sanctuary that reflects Your glory.
Help me to look upon the trees swaying in the breeze, the rivers flowing with purpose, and the creatures that inhabit every corner of this planet through Your eyes. May I be moved by compassion when I witness the scars of pollution, the cries of drought-stricken lands, and the struggles of communities wrestling with the consequences of environmental neglect.
Lord, guide my hands to be instruments of hope, as I participate in acts of restoration. Whether it's planting a tree, advocating for clean air, or simply using resources wisely, let my actions be a testimony of Your love and grace—a beacon of light shining in the shadows of despair. Let my heart resonate with hesed (loving-kindness) as I engage with fellow believers and the broader community, working together to nurture the earth that nurtures us.
