Morning Meditation: Environmental Justice - Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause to reflect on the precious gift of your creation today, I am drawn to the profound words of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, where love is described as patient, kind, and unyielding. In a world where environmental degradation often feels overwhelming, help me to see through Your eyes—eyes that behold the beauty of the earth and the pain of injustice.
Imagine standing in a park, the sun filtering through the leaves, casting playful shadows on the ground. You hear the laughter of children as they run through the grass, and you feel the warmth of community. Yet, just beyond the fence, there’s a polluted river, a stark reminder that not all is well. Lord, grant me the wisdom to bridge that gap, to be a beacon of hope in the darkness of environmental neglect.
Guide my hands to serve with purpose, whether it’s planting trees, advocating for clean air, or simply sharing the importance of caring for our planet with others. May my efforts reflect Your character, revealing the hesed—Your steadfast love and mercy—that You extend to all creation. Help me to be a voice for those who cannot speak—the trees, the rivers, and the creatures that call this earth home.
