Morning Meditation: Folly
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I reflect on the presence of Folly in my life today, I am drawn to the timeless wisdom of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. This passage reminds us that love is not merely a sentiment; it is a profound commitment to embody patience and kindness, to cast aside envy and pride. In moments when I feel tempted to act out of frustration or judgment, Lord, grant me the insight to see through Your eyes—eyes that are filled with compassion and grace.
Imagine standing in the middle of a busy city street, the noise and chaos swirling around you. In that moment, you notice a weary stranger—perhaps a single mother struggling with bags of groceries or an elderly man sitting alone on a bench. Folly might whisper to you to look away, to retreat into your own world. But Your Spirit calls us to respond differently. Guide me, Lord, to be a beacon of hope in those moments of darkness, bringing healing with a simple act of kindness—a genuine smile, a helping hand, or a word of encouragement.
May my actions today reflect Your character, drawing others closer to You, not just through grand gestures but in the small, seemingly insignificant moments that shape our shared journey. Let my life be a living testament to the transformation that Your love brings, not only for my personal growth but for the wider community around me.
