Morning Meditation: Missions - Prayer
Heavenly Father,
As I pause to contemplate the essence of Missions in my life today, I am drawn to the rich tapestry of your wisdom woven into Galatians 5:22-23, where your Spirit’s fruits blossom in our hearts—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Lord, help me to see the world through your compassionate gaze. Let my heart expand to embrace the people I encounter, not as distant souls but as your beloved creations, each with their own stories, struggles, and hopes.
In the deep recesses of our communities—where shadows linger and despair can feel overwhelming—may I shine as a beacon of your light. Picture a candle flickering in a dark room: though small, it transforms the space around it, illuminating the faces of the weary and offering warmth to the cold. This is our calling in Missions—to be that flame of hope and healing, guiding others toward your grace.
May my actions reflect your character, so that when people encounter me, they don’t just see a follower of Christ but the very embodiment of your agape love—a love that is expansive, self-giving, and transformative.
