Morning Meditation: Vulnerability
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I sit in the quiet of this morning light, the words of Psalm 23 wash over me like a gentle stream. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” It strikes me that vulnerability is a lot like wandering in a dark valley, where shadows loom large and fears can feel insurmountable. Yet, you promise to walk beside us, even when the path grows uncertain.
Lord, help me to embrace my own vulnerabilities, to see them not as weaknesses but as opportunities for connection and healing. There’s a beauty in our shared struggles—a reminder that we are not alone. When I think of the times I’ve opened my heart to others, I remember how it felt to be both seen and understood. In those moments, your love shone through and drew us closer together.
Guide me to be a beacon of hope in the lives of those around me. Let my words and actions reflect your grace as I navigate the delicate terrain of vulnerability. May I be the one who listens patiently to a friend’s hurt, or the one who reaches out with an encouraging word when someone feels lost. Help me to remember that each time I lean into vulnerability, I am inviting others into a space of safety and authenticity.
