Imagine a quiet morning in early spring, when the earth begins to awaken from its winter slumber. The frost lifts gently from the ground, revealing tender shoots of green breaking through the soil. As I watched this awakening one morning, I noticed a small, struggling sapling. It stood in the shadow of a mighty oak, its branches stretching wide. The sapling seemed to shrink away from the great tree's presence, unsure of its place in this lush creation. Yet, as I studied it more closely, I realized that even in its struggle, the sapling was growing. It was reaching for the light, stretching its small branches upward, while also grounding itself deeper into the earth.

In our lives, we often find ourselves like that sapling—seeking growth yet feeling overshadowed by the giants around us: our doubts, our fears, or our circumstances. But just as the seasons change, we too are invited to trust in the Creator’s timing. There are seasons of growth, where we flourish under His watchful eye, and seasons of rest, where He nurtures our roots beneath the surface.
