No Dead Zones

If you have ever struggled with Wi-Fi cutting out in certain rooms, you know the frustration of a dead zone. A single router, no matter how powerful, has limits. Walls absorb its signal. Distance weakens it. There are always corners it cannot reach alone.

That is why engineers developed mesh networking. Systems like Google Nest WiFi or Amazon Eero place multiple small access points throughout a home. No single unit tries to do everything. Instead, each node picks up the signal from its neighbors and passes it along, extending coverage into every room, every hallway, every forgotten corner of the basement. When one node weakens, the others compensate. The network reroutes automatically. Together, they eliminate dead zones that no single device could reach on its own.

The Apostle Paul described the church the same way. "The eye cannot say to the hand, 'I don't need you'" (1 Corinthians 12:21). Every believer carries a signal — a gift, a testimony, a presence — that reaches places others cannot. The young mother who notices the struggling teenager. The retired carpenter who shows up with his toolbox before anyone asks. The quiet prayer warrior whose intercession covers ground no sermon ever could.

Alone, each of us has dead zones — blind spots in our compassion, limits to our reach, walls we cannot see past. But when we stay connected, the signal of God's love reaches every corner.

No one was meant to be the whole network. But together, we cover the whole house.
