Not My Will But Yours: Matthew 26:36-46

Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray."

Gethsemane—the olive press. A garden on the Mount of Olives, across the Kidron Valley from Jerusalem. Jesus often came here with his disciples. Tonight, it would become holy ground.

He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.

The inner three—the same ones who had seen the transfiguration. Now they would see the opposite: not glory but agony.
