Quiet Time: Ascension Day
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I pause today to reflect on Ascension Day, I am drawn to the powerful words of Ephesians 6:10-18, where we are called to put on the full armor of God. I envision a soldier preparing for battle, not only for his own protection but to stand firm for those he loves. Lord, help me to see the struggles in my own life through Your eyes, to recognize where I need Your strength to bear witness in a world that often feels dark and chaotic.
In my moments of weakness, remind me of the agape love you have poured into my heart. Let it overflow in my interactions—whether at the grocery store, in the office, or with my family. When I face challenges, help me to respond with grace rather than frustration, kindness instead of indifference. Each encounter is an opportunity to bring hope and healing, just as You brought it to all those You touched during Your time on earth.
As I step into my day, may I be a beacon that points others to You. May my actions reflect Your character, inviting my neighbors into a relationship that transforms lives. Ascension Day reminds us that Christ is enthroned, reigning over every corner of our lives, and empowering us to carry out His mission.
