Romero's Body Offered for the Poor - Liberation (Romans 12:1-2)

Oscar Romero preached Romans 12:1-2 literally: "We must be willing to give even our life for the poor." Days later, he was assassinated while celebrating Mass—his body becoming sacrifice at the altar. He refused to conform to the pattern of his world: the elite protecting privilege while the poor were murdered. His transformed mind saw Christ in the campesinos. Romans 12:1-2 cost him everything.
