The Example of Courage - Story

There was a young woman named Clara who felt lost in her life. After graduating from college, she found herself juggling a job that didn’t fulfill her and a deep longing for purpose. Every night, she would lie awake, tossing and turning, wrestling with questions of “What now?” and “What’s next?”

One day, while praying for guidance, she felt the gentle nudge of God’s Spirit reminding her of Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." With a heart full of faith, she sensed God calling her to step out of her comfort zone and volunteer at a local shelter.

It took courage to obey that call. Clara worried about her lack of experience, but she remembered her purpose was tied to following God’s lead. As she stepped through the shelter doors for the first time, her heart raced. Yet, every moment she spent serving others transformed her anxiety into strength. Sometimes, the first step toward spiritual growth is simply saying “yes” to God’s guidance, trusting that He has a plan for us, one of transformation and promise.
