The Example of Faith - Story
There’s a story that takes me back to my childhood, where I spent countless hours with my grandmother in her garden. Now, this wasn't just any garden; it was a vibrant tapestry of colors and scents, alive with the promise of growth. Each seed she planted told a story of hope, but the most beautiful lesson happened one summer afternoon.
I watched her kneel in the dirt, holding a handful of tiny, seemingly insignificant seeds. “You see these?” she said, her eyes sparkling with wisdom. “They have everything they need inside them to become something great, but they need time, sunlight, and water. Just like us.” She then took a moment to explain how some seeds sprout quickly, while others take time to break through the surface.
Weeks passed, and I saw her tending to those plants with unwavering faith. She watered, pulled weeds, and sometimes just sat in silence, waiting. One day, I noticed the first green shoots breaking through the soil. I could hardly contain my excitement! But Grandma smiled gently and said, “Patience, my child. The real work is happening beneath the surface.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Just like those seeds, our faith may feel buried at times, but with God’s guidance, we will see transformation. Trust that you are growing in purpose, even when you can’t see it. God is nurturing you for something beautiful!
