The Example of Gentleness - Contemporary Example

There’s a story that comes to mind from our own community—a story of a young mother named Lisa who found herself in a storm of life. She was juggling a job, raising two children, and dealing with the illness of her own mother. One evening, as she sat on her porch, she felt the weight of the world pressing down on her. It was as if the bricks of her foundation were crumbling beneath her feet.

But instead of giving in to despair, Lisa decided to turn her heart to God. She opened her Bible to Ephesians 2:8-9, where it reminds us that we are saved by grace through faith, not by our own efforts. She organized meals for families in need, offered to babysit for a single parent down the street, and led a small group focused on prayer.
