The Example of Love - Story

In a small town, nestled between rolling hills, lived an elderly woman named Ruth. Widowed for many years, she found solace in her garden. Each spring, she would plant vibrant flowers, but more importantly, she cultivated relationships with her neighbors. Ruth was known not just for her green thumb but for her generous heart.

One particularly tough winter, her neighbor, a single mother of two, faced insurmountable challenges. Job loss had left her struggling, and the weight of despair hung heavy in her home. Ruth, sensing the darkness that had crept into their lives, decided to take action. She began leaving baskets of groceries on their doorstep, filled with not just food, but with love and warmth. Each note she included bore the words, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).
