The Example of Patience - Story

There was a young woman named Miriam who lived in a small village, where the seasons seemed to drag on like a weary traveler. Her dreams of becoming a teacher felt distant, almost like the mountains that loomed far away, beautiful yet unreachable. One day, she discovered a dusty old book in her grandmother’s attic—a collection of stories about brave women in the Bible, including Esther.

As she read about Esther’s courage and patience, Miriam felt a flicker of hope ignite within her. She remembered how Joshua was assured in Joshua 1:9 to "be strong and courageous" and not to be afraid, for God would be with him wherever he went. Inspired, Miriam began to pray for guidance, patience, and a sense of purpose.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Miriam continued to study hard, but she faced countless setbacks. There were days when doubt crept in, whispering that she might never fulfill her dreams, just as Esther had to wait patiently in a foreign palace for her moment to shine.
