The Example of Peace - Story

There’s a small village nestled in the mountains, known for its breathtaking views and serene atmosphere. Amidst this beauty, there lived an elderly woman named Miriam. She was renowned for her unwavering faith and the peace that radiated from her, a peace that seemed almost otherworldly. In a world filled with turmoil, she remained a beacon of hope, embodying the promise found in Isaiah 40:31: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”

One winter, a fierce storm swept through the village, tearing down trees and disrupting power. The villagers, gripped by fear and despair, gathered to discuss their worries. Yet, amidst the anxious chatter, there was Miriam, calmly tending to her garden. When asked why she wasn’t afraid, she looked up with a gentle smile and said, “I trust in the Lord, who gives me strength. He has never failed me.”
