There was a small town where a wise old man lived at the edge of a serene lake. His reputation for wisdom drew people from far and wide, seeking guidance for their troubled hearts. The old man listened patiently as she poured out her heart. Then he pointed to the lake. “What do you see?” he asked. She looked closely. “I see the reflection of the trees and the sky,” she replied, her brow furrowed in confusion.

“Truth is like this lake,” he explained. “When the waters are stirred by the wind, the reflection becomes unclear. But when the waters are still, you see things as they truly are. Your life may feel chaotic right now, but God works in all things for the good of those who love Him, as we read in Romans 8:28. It’s about allowing the chaos to settle so you can see the reflection of God’s righteousness and wisdom in your life.”
