The Example of Wisdom - Story
Once, there was a wise old woman named Margaret who lived in a small village. Known for her insight, people would often seek her counsel. One day, a young man named David approached her, burdened by despair. He had recently lost his job and felt adrift, questioning his purpose.
Margaret invited him to sit on her porch, where the sun filtered through the leaves, casting playful shadows on the wooden floor. “Do you see that tree?” she asked, pointing to a sturdy oak standing tall amidst the delicate flowers. “Its roots run deep into the ground, drawing nourishment while the branches reach towards the heavens.”
David watched the tree, puzzled. “What does that have to do with me?”
Margaret smiled gently and continued, “Just as that tree transforms sunlight into life, you too must embrace your struggles. Remember John 3:16: ‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son.’ That love is your light, illuminating your path even in darkness.”
