The King on a Donkey: Mark 11:1-11
Cinematic retelling of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem
This is vivid retellings.
They approached Jerusalem from the east, the Mount of Olives rising before them. Jesus sent two disciples ahead with strange instructions:
"Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks why you are untying it, say, 'The Lord needs it and will send it back shortly.'"
Everything happened exactly as he said. They found the colt, answered the question, brought it to Jesus. They threw their cloaks over it—a makeshift saddle—and Jesus climbed on.
Then the procession began.
