The Martyrs' Ultimate Conformity to Christ - Anabaptist (Romans 12:1-2)
When Anabaptist martyrs went to their deaths, they weren't conforming to the world's pattern of self-preservation. They were transformed by a different vision: Christ crucified. "Do not conform to the pattern of this world"—the world said recant and live; their renewed minds said remain faithful and truly live. The living sacrifice became literal.
