The Network That Carries Us
If you have ever set up a mesh WiFi system in your home — something like Google Nest WiFi or Amazon Eero — you know the basic idea. Instead of one router trying to blast a signal into every corner of the house, you place several small nodes throughout the building. Each node picks up the signal from its neighbors and passes it along, stronger and clearer than before. The dead zones disappear. The kid streaming a video in the basement stays connected because three little devices are quietly handing the signal back and forth, covering for each other's weaknesses.
That is a picture of the Church.
Paul wrote to the Corinthians that "the eye cannot say to the hand, 'I have no need of you'" (1 Corinthians 12:21). We were never designed to be a single router, standing alone in the middle of the room, hoping our signal reaches far enough. We were designed to be a mesh network — dozens of nodes, each one receiving grace and passing it along, each one extending the reach of the Gospel into rooms and corners that no single person could reach alone.
When you feel weak in your faith, it is not because you are broken. It is because you were never meant to carry the signal by yourself. You need the node next to you. And someone else, right now, needs you to be theirs.
That is community. That is the Body of Christ — a network where no one carries the signal alone, and no one has to.
